Anita Sings for Oscar" – also issued as "Anita Sings the Most" (MGV-8259) – is one of the best albums by the singer, and the only one on which she was backed by the great Oscar Peterson on piano. That superb LP is coupled with another complete album: "Anita O’Day Sings the Winners" (Verve MG V-8283/V6-8485) on which she pays tribute to the greatest poll winning jazzmen by singing their most celebrated songs with arrangements by Marty Paich and Russell Garcia.
